The Future of Family Medicine is waiting for no one. We are working on our charge to improve pre-medical school recruitment as one of our Future of Family Medicine tasks. Help us make it what we want it to be. We need you to contribute your stories and your resource links to add to our Web site, now under construction.
We encourage you to e-mail your pipeline materials to the appropriate FutureFamilyDocs coordinating group member listed below:
- Terri Kulie, MD, University of Wisconsin - Send her your stories of pipeline mentoring, as a mentor or mentee, or send her the links to stories you have found.
- DeDe Willis, MD, MBA, Indiana University - Send her information about formal organizational pipeline programs that mentor, recruit, and inspire others.
- Terry Steyer, MD, Medical University of South Carolina - Send him news on legislation that is developing to help the pipeline into family medicine, in financing, minority, and rural preferences, and others.
- Carman Whiting MD, University of Texas Houston FPR - Send any mentoring resources you have found useful, articles, books, Web sites etc.
- Janice Benson, MD, Cook County-Loyola-Provident FMR, Chicago - chair of Pipeline Priority for STFM FFM Task Force
